What kind of witch are you? White, Traditional, Black, absolutely no clue? When researching witchcraft online you will come across all sorts of identifiers that make you one thing or another... It can be very hard to "find your place" and know where you fit in. Often times, especially with the more modern variants, there are rules, how-to guides, and "everything you need to know" web pages and books... and you may think "I don't have time for all that stuff", or "I don't have all those tools and accessories" ... In my opinion, this is highly over rated and just not needed.
While there is no requirement to identify solidly here or there with any specific sort of witchcraft, it does help to know what certain features are of the main categories.

White: Good feelings, helping and healing spells, love, nature
Wiccan: created in 60's, main influence Gerald Gardner (Gardnerian) sub-class based off traditional witchcraft and pagan traditions, in tune with nature, can require lots of tools
Traditional/British: oldest form of witchcraft, not specifically defined, light and dark influences, deeply influenced by nature and astrology, uses very old techniques and tools, little need for excessive equipment, guided by ancient texts, pictures, and traditions over multiple cultures, Celtic, Pagan, Egyptian, and more.
Black/Satanic: not evil-- satanic, worship of Lucifer and the Baphomet, "as above, and so below", very humanist ideals, positive and negative spells and rituals, heavily guided by Anton LeVey and Satanic Bible in it's modern form
These are the largest categories, there have been many sub categorized types over the years, but they fit underneath these main sorts. Most witchcraft has significant crossovers among the types, so there is no need to feel obligated to pick a specific one... witchcraft is what you make it.
